Contact of the child with biological parents
One of the main obligations of persons exercising foster family care is to enable contact between the child and parents and other relatives, unless the court decides otherwise.
The right to contact covers not only parents, but also:
• baby siblings
• his grandparents
• relatives in a straight line
• people who have looked after the child for a long time

The right to contact with a child is a right independent of parental responsibility. This means that even a parent deprived of parental authority has the right to contact the child, as long as the court has not restricted the right to such contact.
Can biological parents always have contact with a child?
It is worth keeping notes from meetings with the biological parents of the child. In case of problems, they can be used as an argument in efforts to reduce contact.
If the contacts pose a threat to the child's welfare, the court may properly shape the child's contacts with the parent. A foster family that notices a threat to the child related to the implementation of contacts, for example, with parents, may apply for the restriction or prohibition of such contacts.
When should biological parents not have contact with the child?
