The city of Wrocław and the surrounding areas are constantly struggling to attract candidates for new foster families, and the preliminary market research conducted by our Foundation shows that the knowledge of the society  on foster families  it is very limited.   Therefore, each of our actions in this area is very important and valuable.

Goal  the organization of the conference was:

- meeting, dialogue and integration of various communities dealing with foster care - theorists, researchers, educators and practitioners,

- continuing activities to promote and support foster parenthood by constantly showing the public the positives of the daily work of family foster care,

- identifying and specifying the problems of supporting families and the general functioning of foster care (searching for ways and methods of support),

- presenting / searching for effective methods of supporting a child in foster care ("know-how" and "best practices" from various markets)

- emphasizing the importance of family foster care,  in particular, looking for opportunities to support foster families and the development of foster parenting,

- presentation of various experiences of foster parents and the difference in bringing up children in institutional and family care, as well as a discussion on possible changes regarding the independence of children from foster care,

- drawing attention to the huge need for cooperation of courts with foster families and family orphanages as well as organizers of foster care.

Participants  of our conferences are representatives of the world of science: sociologists, social politicians, economists, educators, specialists in the field of work with children, representatives of offices and local governments, poviat starosts and organizers of foster care, representatives of the judiciary, foster parents, representatives of non-governmental organizations, including the Coalition for Family Foster Care, as well as candidates for foster families and other people related to and / or interested in the topic of foster parenting development, including various specialists.
